Hi,
I am using the current version on my IPad. But it is set to German language. How
can I change it to display english menus?

It will default to the locale of your iPad. I can't remember exactly which setting this is, within iOS, but obviously it either hasn't been changed or perhaps a reboot of the device is required. There may be more than one setting at play.
